Folder Lock is a program that helps you protect your data by locking or encrypting various files. In addition, you can create an online data backup.
The app comes with a clean and pleasant interface that eases your work with the program. At first, you need to set a master password. This way, no one can access this tool without your permission. Afterwards, you get to the main window which displays the most important features: lock files, encrypt files, secure backup, protect USB/CD, and make wallets.

The first function allows you to select files, folders or drives' and hide them from any other user. The second one has the ability to create a locker. For using this option, you need to set the locker’s name, location, password, type, and size. It acts as a flash disk where you can store any data, up to the maximum size that you have previously set. The third main feature helps you backup your data to some online lockers. This function asks you to create an account and choose the storage space.

When accessing the 'Protect USB/CD' option, the tool enables you to make your locker portable and transfer it to your flash disk or to burn it to a CD/DVD. With the unregistered version, you can create portable lockers with a maximum size of 4 GB. The last feature is an electronic wallet that helps you store your credit card information. Apart from having access to the above mentioned options, you can also shred files or clean your computer’s history.

All in all, this is a helpful program that provides safety to your data, mainly when you share the computer with somebody else and you want to hide some personal information.
